Asset management company Union Investment is counting on the expertise of adesso AG to mobilise its business processes as part of its digitalisation programme. adesso will assist the company with implementing its enterprise mobility strategy up to the end of 2018. This will allow Union Investment employees to handle key business processes on the go in future using Smartphone applications. Up to 28 different business transactions will be featured on the new enterprise mobility app that will run on more than 1,100 employee Smartphones.

Enterprise mobility is the technical term used to describe a change in day-to-day business. A rising number of tasks are already being executed with mobile devices and cloud services outside of the office - whether during business trips, on the go, from home or directly with the customer. The easier it is to use business processes on a mobile basis, the more flexibility it gives employees. In this digitalisation setting, adesso is supporting Union Investment in the first stages of the project by mobilising the release processes for the business transactions time approval (incl. application for leave) and invoicing. In order to make the application as easy as possible for employees, all actions in the app are structured and named in the same way for all processes. A standard user interface and a uniform user experience are also vital for mobilising other business processes. Following the successful pilot phase, processes including identity and access management and working time adjustments can also be implemented in this manner. To achieve this, the project team defines processes to be mobilised in a step-by-step, completely agile project schedule. adesso is currently developing a dashboard that can be called up within the app to create more transparency about the various options offered by the application.

Union Investment selected adesso as its IT consultant based on its positive experience in previous jointly realised projects. adesso's ideal skills profile was also a decisive factor for the financial provider's project. As such, adesso is able to contribute its expertise and experience to matters relating to enterprise mobility, strategy development, project management and agile software development.
