adesso wins a major project for the development and introduction of a new
application environment at a German insurance group
 
Within the scope of the multi-year project, adesso will replace existing
mainframe-based applications in the life, private health and property
insurance divisions. It will implement its PSLife life insurance solution,
along with a private health insurance solution that is currently in
development, which will include the billing of services. As part of the
project, adesso will also develop a solution for the management of private
and commercial property insurance together with the insurance company. The
adesso components for damage and partners will also be used.
 
The use and marketing rights to the software will remain with adesso. This
project, which has an overall budget in the double-digit millions, puts
adesso in a position to offer insurance companies additional tailored
development and consulting and a modern suite of programmes based on a
uniform technological platform and architecture. In addition to revenue for
development, adaptation and implementation, the contract will generate a
direct effect on earnings from licence payments in the low single-digit
millions between 2015 and 2017.
