Three adesso Group companies show their expertise on up-to-date IT trends
Dortmund, 17 February 2012 – IT service provider adesso presents its know-how on the issues of content management, social media and mobility at this year’s CeBIT from 6 to 10th March 2012. adesso Group will be present three times: Stand G26 in hall 6 will showcase adesso AG’s software solutions for developments in the fields of social media and mobility. The stand will also host the display created by adesso subsidiary e-Spirit AG for upcoming release 5 of its FirstSpirit content management solutions. Also located in hall 6, adesso mobile solutions GmbH will use its stand to display its solutions for mobile applications.
adesso AG
This year, adesso will have a place as an exhibitor at the trade fair stand overseen by subsidiary e-Spirit. The stand will focus on topics associated with social media and online mobility, and they will be particularly closely connected with the solutions developed by e-Spirit.
- SocialNetworking?
adesso will display SocialNetworking, a new module for FirstSpirit, the content management system (CMS) developed by e-Spirit. This innovative new module enables users to post FirstSpirit content straight to social networks in a simple, straightforward way. Developed by adesso AG, the module features a “social media hub” that is fully integrated in FirstSpirit’s tried-and-tested Java client. This hub is what enables users to post content, not just on their own webpages, but also on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
When a copywriter has selected the content, the system displays the publication status of the post in their selected social media platforms along with users’ feedback. A dashboard function bundles this feedback in a central location, making it possible to gauge how popular the post has been. Lists of top-ranking content show the latest posts and the content with the most feedback. It will be possible to integrate more social media channels than just classics like Facebook and Twitter – plans are currently underway to create connect with Google+ and LinkedIn as well.
- Mobile Publisher
Mobile Publisher is another new FirstSpirit module from adesso mobile solutions, and it facilitates the simple creation and management of mobile portals and applications when working in FirstSpirit.
- HTML5
HTML5 provides users with a new means of transforming their browsers into a platform for interactive applications – an option which can also be used offline as well. adesso shows how people can make maximum use of the opportunities offered by HTML5.
- Portal integration
adesso has a lot of experience in developing concepts and implementing plans for the integration of Liferay, JBoss/GateIn, WebSphere portals and SAP portals. At the 2012 CeBIT, the company will describe its involvement on these and similar projects.
- FirstSpirit: putting it to work at companies
Experts from adesso will be at CeBIT to provide visitors with information about how FirstSpirit can be introduced company-wide, its necessary integration with complex application landscapes, and about migrating other content management systems.
e-Spirit AG
The main highlight of e-Spirit’s stand at the 2012 CeBIT is its pending major release of the FirstSpirit 5 content management system, scheduled to hit the market next September. The new version of this CMS solution contains a wide range of new features and enhanced functions for the two editing environments, WebClient and JavaClient, along with UX Bridge, which is a new infrastructure module for the quick, straightforward creation of dynamic websites.
e-Spirit will also display its established and very popular portal integrations for SAP NetWeaver and IBM WebSphere, which will be joined by new modules created for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Liferay. At the e-Spirit stand, CeBIT visitors will have the chance to see live demos that show just how quick and easy it is to integrate web applications with the CMS thanks to the FirstSpirit AppCenter.
