adesso receives an order for consultancy and software development in the amount of 4,7m € from Commerzbank
Banking portals will be transferred to new platforms and will be built up
Dortmund, 02 October 2008 – adesso AG received from Commerzbank an order for consultancy and software development in the amount of 4,7m €. Referring to a single project, this is the highest volume in contracts within the company's history. In the scope of the project, the existing banking portals for private and business customers will be tranferred on a central and technically standardized portal platform. Moreover, the operating power of this portal is being upgraded. The adesso content management system FirstSpirit, which is already in use at Commerzbank, is also part of the new architecture.
adesso provides consultancy services to the universal bank on mapping business processes within the new portals and implements these under sole responsibility. Step by step current portal applications will thus be optimised, extended and transferred into a new environment. In addition to the service in the branches the system will be made available to Commerzbank customers for financial transactions. This significant order is – following the order by Cortal Consors announced in July – further proof of the successful positioning of the adesso corporate field “banking”. Since 2007 this field has been expanded by adesso as the fourth core branch.
By harmonizing the operated IT systems Commerzbank optimises its processes, reduces maintenance costs and ensures the future security of their portal applications. The flexibility of the solution enables the timely illustration of new products or services and accelerates the adjustment of functions with respect to future changes of the market.
