adesso AG follows forecast with sales and earnings / profitable with reduced margin in the first quarter of 2009

Interim announcement according to section 37 WpHG:

adesso AG was able to increase sales revenues in the first quarter of 2009 by 18 % to EUR 16.6 million compared to the prior year period. In doing so, adesso reported consolidated earnings totaling EUR 276 thousand with an operating margin of 6.3 % and therefore remained within the range of the company’s forecast.

adesso records sales revenues of EUR 66.8 million (+ 46 %), operating result EUR 8.1 million (+ 52 %)

adesso AG sustained its strong growth track in 2008. Sales revenues were up 46 % to EUR 66.8 million (prior year: EUR 45.6 million). 2008 therefore represents the most successful year in company history and forms another important step on the road to establishing the company as a leading IT partner for consulting and software development industry-specific business processes in Central Europe.

Die adesso AG wächst durch die organische Ausweitung der Geschäftsaktivitäten weiter und erzielt mit einem Umsatz von 17,0 Mio. EUR im 3. Quartal 2008 einen neuen Höchststand. Der Konzernumsatz stieg in den ersten neun Monaten 2008 auf 47,8 Mio. EUR. Das entspricht einer Steigerung um 68 % gegenüber dem Vorjahreswert. Operative Treiber waren erneut zusätzliche Beauftragungen aus den adesso-Kernbranchen Versicherungen, Gesundheitswesen und Banken. Mehrere bedeutende Aufträge konnten gewonnen werden, zum Beispiel für die Portalkonsolidierung der Commerzbank oder die Weiterentwicklung des Kernsystems der gesetzlichen Krankenkassen sowie für Entwicklungen im Umfeld der elektronischen Gesundheitskarte. Die Anzahl der Mitarbeiter stieg im 3. Quartal durch Neueinstellungen um weitere 4 % auf 568 (514 umgerechnet in Vollzeitkräfte/FTE) und damit in den ersten neun Monaten organisch um insgesamt 13 %.
